Accessibility

We want anyone to be able to use this site and to reach us. If you cannot, we would rather hear about it than have you give up.

What we are aiming for

We build this site to target WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the standard most widely used for web accessibility.

We have not had it independently audited, so we do not claim that it conforms. We would rather tell you what has actually been checked, and what has not.

What we have checked

  • Colour contrast — checked against the AA thresholds. Where our brand red was not readable enough at text size, anything you have to read or press uses a darker red.
  • Tap targets — buttons, links and controls are sized to be used with a thumb, not just a mouse pointer.
  • Images — every image has a text description.
  • Maps — every embedded map has a title, so it is announced rather than skipped.
  • Headings — run in order and are not skipped, so a screen reader can move through a page by structure.
  • Keyboard — a visible outline follows the keyboard and the whole site can be used without a mouse.
  • Motion — reduced automatically if your device asks for it.
  • Without JavaScript — the menu, the reviews and the before-and-after comparison all still work with scripting switched off.
  • On a phone — no sideways scrolling, and the call button is never hidden behind a menu.

What we have not done

  • We have not had an independent audit or certification.
  • We have not tested with people who use screen readers day to day.
  • We have not tested the site at high zoom levels.

We do not use an accessibility overlay or widget. They are sold as a one-click fix, they do not repair the underlying problems, and they can interfere with the assistive software you already use.

If something does not work

Call us on (414) 763-6727 and tell us what happened — which page, and what you were trying to do. We will fix what we can.

And you do not have to use the website at all. Everything on it can be done by phone or at the counter: we will tell you what a repair involves, what it costs for your phone, and what to bring. Se habla español.
